Citroen Dispatch van flooring helps protect the load area from the everyday wear of carrying tools, equipment, and delivery cartons. A fitted cargo floor provides a durable working surface while keeping the vehicle’s loading openings and tie-down points practical to use.

Sydney Van Lining recently completed this flooring installation for a Citroen Dispatch SWB with dual sliding doors and rear barn doors. The project features black textured plywood flooring, aluminium panel joins, and protected loading edges, fitted around the van’s existing interior.

The completed installation gives the cargo area a clean, professional finish suited to regular commercial work.

Durable Plywood Flooring for Everyday Commercial Use

For this Citroën Dispatch van flooring installation, we used WBP-grade laminated birch plywood. This material provides a durable protective surface for a cargo area exposed to repeated loading, foot traffic, and equipment movement.

The laminated finish helps resist moisture and everyday surface wear, while the black honeycomb texture gives the floor a consistent appearance. It also makes the installed panels easy to distinguish from the surrounding vehicle structure.

Choosing suitable flooring depends on the loads carried and how the van is used. Our guide to van flooring materials explains what to consider when selecting a durable floor for commercial use.

Flooring Fitted Around the Dispatch Cargo Area

The Citroën Dispatch van flooring follows the shape of the load space, including both wheel arches, the rear loading threshold, and the side-door openings. Accurate fitting allows the panels to cover the working area while accommodating the original interior contours.

The rear view shows the flooring shaped around the central threshold trim, with the plywood edges following the opening. Around the wheel arches, the fitted panels extend close to the surrounding bodywork without changing the original vehicle structure.

These details matter in a working van. A properly shaped floor provides useful coverage across the cargo area and creates a tidy perimeter that is easier to clean and maintain.

Aluminum Panel Joins and Loading-Edge Protection

Aluminium joining strips connect the Citroën Dispatch van flooring sections across the load space. These create neat transitions between panels and cover the meeting edges where footwear and cargo regularly pass.

The installation also includes aluminium edge trims at the sliding-door openings and rear loading area. These help protect exposed plywood edges from contact as equipment, cartons and other goods move through the doors.

The side-door photographs show the relationship between the floor panels, aluminium trims, and the original entry step. Together, these components create a practical loading edge with a consistent finish.

Original Cargo Tie-Down Points Remain Accessible

This Citroën Dispatch van flooring installation retains access to the original cargo tie-down rings. The panels accommodate their positions, allowing suitable restraints to connect to the vehicle’s designated anchor points.

Floor protection and load restraint serve different purposes. The flooring provides a working surface, while the anchor points allow cargo to be secured appropriately during transport. Keeping those points accessible preserves an important part of the van’s everyday functionality.

The photographs show the tie-down rings beside the wheel arches and near the rear opening, alongside the fitted flooring and aluminium joins.

Practical Flooring for Dual Sliding Door Access

Dual sliding doors provide access to the cargo area from either side, while the rear barn doors offer another loading route. The floor therefore needs to work across all three openings.

The Citroën Dispatch van flooring shown here provides a consistent surface through the load space, with fitted edges at each entry. This arrangement supports everyday loading without covering the original steps or anchor points.
